Education
Although there are no national education requirements for Bounty Hunters, some related education or experience is essential to guarantee success. Among other things, as it is vital that you know and understand all the legalities related to the profession.

Degrees that would be advantageous to Bounty Hunters are Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, Business, and Communications.
Working in a Bail Bond Office or actually working with a licensed Bounty Hunter would also be advantageous if you are considering becoming a success Bounty Hunter.
Bounty Hunters need a license which must be renewed periodically. Each state issues a separate license. At this time, no Federal license exists for Bounty Hunters.
